Gopal Dhakal completed his first century in one-day cricket in the second practice match against west bangal held at Odhisa cricket ground in odhisa state on Monday.
Gopal remained unbeaten on 106 runs off 76 deliveries which included nine fours and eight sixes. Tripura state posted a total of 289 runs in 47 overs before losing all its wickets. West Bangal was bundled out for 142 runs in 38.2 overs as the tripura state team secured a 147 runs win.
Gopal shared a partnership of 160 runs for the fourth wickets with senior batsman Adil khan who contributed 54 runs. Skipper Riyaz Ali, Rishab Gautam returning Abhishek Khan shared 23, 29 and 23 runs respectively. Similarly, Alish Kunwar´s 15-ball 28 runs and Roshan magar´s 6-ball 18 runs provided the much needed boost to Tripura total.
Bangal’s Prathiv Singh and Mohammad Arif shared three wickets each in the innings whereas Anwar shah and Ritesh singh chipped in with two and a wicket each. Tripura bowlers produced a disciplined performance as bangal’s innings ended in 38.2 overs adding 142 runs before losing all its wickets. Jhapa Home boy Gopal and santosh hussain shared three wickets each whereas David sen, Mohammad Kohli and Pravin shah chipped in with two, and a wicket each respectively.
